Welcome to Ħad-Dingli Secondary
The School
The construction of Ħad-Dingli Secondary School started in October 2015, and our staff and students moved from the Naxxar Secondary school in 2017. Before the building for our school existed there was a computer centre which was demolished and instead Ħad-Dingli Secondary was built with a total area of about 9.600m2. The school is nestled in the beautiful Dingli fields with plenty of fresh air and lovely views for students and staff to enjoy.
Ħad-Dingli Secondary is part of St. Nicholas College with students coming from a range of localities in the area.
Facilities
The school houses a spacious, welcoming foyer, a number of classrooms and various laboratories.
Our labs include
- Vocational Education and Training (VET) Labs for Hospitality
- Information Technology Labs
- Computer labs
- Chemistry labs
- Biology labs
- Physics labs
- Food labs
- Design and Technology labs.
Other facilities include a very well-stocked school library, the Learning Support Zone, administrative offices, a boardroom, staff rooms, a gym and a clinic. The school hall is situated on the second floor and is used for annual performances and events.
All classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with All -in-One computers and the latest Interactive Flat Panels. Our Dinja Wahda Club members are constantly adding more green areas around the school and we have recently converted part of the foyer to a reading corner for our students! We also have a number of clubs for students to take part in during their mid-day break.
The school is also wheelchair accessible with lifts allowing easy access to all levels and ease of movement throughout the building.
More than just a building
Of course, our school is more than the bricks that built it.
We are a team up of a Head of School, Assistant Heads, Office Administrators, Heads of Department, teachers, LSEs, councillors, cleaners, and more, all working to create a safe and welcoming environment for our students to grow and flourish.
