Socializing Club (LSZ)

In the Learning Support Zone we strive to create a positive, nurturing, supportive and interactive learning environment for students who would need some extra support in a particular time of their life. Students are chosen and asked to join and use their time in the Learning Support Zone to follow a programme that is aimed specifically at addressing the individual needs of the students within small groups. The lessons are usually interactive and we try to be hands on as much as possible. Through these lessons, we help students improve their self-esteem, understand and control negative feelings, control anger, learn independent living skills and learn how to be more resilient amongst other things. Students usually benefit from this support since addressing their personal socio-emotional needs in a holistic way and supporting them in that area, creates a better foundation for learning.

During break time, we offer a safe space in the Learning Support Zone room, where students can meet up and socialise in a place where they feel comfortable and feel supported, even if they would not be following any programme.
